Don't Bother Me I'm Sick!!!!

Friday, June 4, 2010

Have you ever been, so sick that it was hard to get out of bed and function through the day?

Well this was me a couple of days ago and the one thing that peeved me off was when people asks to run errands when they can plainly see that your one step away from the emergency room. How inconsiderate can you be?
Have you ever just wanted to be left alone during sick days?????

Post a comment below we'll love to hear from you.

Coming so fast

Thursday, June 3, 2010

I hate it when the last two weeks of the year or of the quarter everything creeps up! Projects, presentation, finals, and papers!!!! The first part of the quarter everything goes smooth and time feels endless then Bam!!!!!! For instance I have 3 finals, a powerpoint and 2 papers due in less then a week but for the last 9 weeks nothing has been due or a pressing problem. I hate this... Let the countdown begin only 9 days until this will never be a problem again!!!

Group Presentations

Wednesday, June 2, 2010

Until yesterday I liked group presentations because I felt it was easier to come up with a paper or presentation dividing the work evenly. But yesterday I had the worst presentation ever and I had never felt so much shame. Everything was so disorganized that I almost thought the proffesor was going to stop the presentation at any time. I mean why can't people get along and help each other, why does it has to get to point where it is disastrous. :(

Old Cheaters

Everyone has cheated at some point in their lives. But when your over 60 years old and still trying to pull things well that just makes you evil. Here we have a 69 year old man who just got way too greedy. Not only did he try and win first place in his over 60 marathon. But he tried to do it like Usain Bolt did, in world record time! Wow, if your going to cheat don't make it so obvious as to have people questioning your world class speed at 69 years of age. What's even worse is that once he was caught he tried to play it off as he was injured and never intended on cheating in the first place. That's a double no no. First for cheating and then for not owning up to the fact that he was caught. And we're supposed to learn from our elders...

Graduation!

Sunday, May 30, 2010

I know many of us our close to GRADUATION and the big day that comes with it... From walking the stage seeing all your hard work pay off, to dinner and celebration with family and friends following the ceremony to a night out with your best friends and finally family parties. Along with all the good times.. but don't you hate it when the fun times are just an added stress!! When people just don't understand what your trying to plan or how much you just want to have a good time.

I can't stand it when one people say they will be somewhere and end up not coming or two when people can't give a definite answer if they will be coming for sure or not!!! I am so stressed with finals and getting done that I don't have all the time in the world to plan for people who can not commit!!

So as much as I am looking forward to my BIG DAY!!! If people don't step up and commit or help make things run smoother I am going to be fed up!!! I can not wait until June 12, 2010 to walk that stage and be a CSUEB college graduate.. but until then support me and help me plan!!

My biggest pet peeve: no support and no commitment in important situations

Put It On Vibrate!!!!!!

Saturday, May 29, 2010

Don't you hate loud cellphones in public places especially in movie theaters and during great performances? What about loud people on loud cell phones? How inconsiderate can people be? It's one thing to answer your phone and go outside but when you carry on conversations in crowded public places is when it becomes to much.

Getting Fruit on Halloween

Friday, May 28, 2010

Halloween is a time for scary movies, creepy costumes and most of all CANDY. It's the one day we can pig out and recieve free delicious treats. As a kid my favorite holiday was Halloween because i loved getting bags and bags full of candy, but one thing i hated was neighbors who handed out fruit. I didn't want any stickin fruit. If I wanted to eat an apple, I would eat my own damn apples. It's even worse if you've had the kind of parents that didn't allow junk food, except around the holidays. People who usually hand out fruit are the ones who either one forgot that it was halloween, and had to make a quick choice on what to pass out, or two its the extremely old grumpy grandparents who feel that candy is a waist of money, and all it does is rotten teeth. They ruin halloween for everyone. It's like the song says..."trick or treat smell my feet give me something good to eat..." it doesn't say give me some your best oranges and apples.

Has anyone else been screwed over on Halloween????

Agendas Ruined

Thursday, May 27, 2010

I hate it when you have 10 million, and 500 things to do and someone keeps adding to your list. I have so much going on in the next few days and have everything planned to a split second and now I come home to realize I have not done my weekly chore!!! I have no idea where its going to fit into my to do list and now I am peeved which is going to make everything else hard to accomplish. I will find the time but man o man I hate it when people and things get added to a perfectly planned out agenda!!

Guitar Hero Sucks!

Wednesday, May 26, 2010

Can someone please explain to me what is so fun about playing with a fake guitar? The little toy has every color of the rainbow on it and i'm supposed to push buttons to simulate a real guitar? Real guitars don't have any buttons on them whatsoever and they aren't this light. Also, the whole game is pushing whatever buttons the game tells you. On and on and on and on. Nonstop it keeps going and going. That is it. That is guitar hero for you. Nothing more. And yet people can stand there for hours playing the stupid game and they feel like their in an actual band. You can't be serious. If you want to feel like your in an actual band why don't you go out and actually create one. Nobody is going to be impressed because you know the difference between the color blue and red and because you push it repeatedly. The game is nothing but a complete waste of time.

pick a station already!

Monday, May 24, 2010

I'm not one to bug about the music we listen to, as long as we can listen to it on a consistent basis. Given, it's not my car and you have all the authority to listen to what you want. But, COME ON, changing the radio station the entire ride, at least 20 minutes each way, is really not pleasant to my ears. If you really don't enjoy anything on the radio AT ALL, SHUT IT OFF! I much rather sit and have a convo without the annoyance of an ever-changing station in the background. Definitely NOT music to my ears.
You really do have more than a few options, other than the 36 channels you've just flipped through, TWICE!
If you want me to list them I can.
Anyone else have any friends/associates that have the same a.d.d., channel flipping, issue?
PLEASE share below!

DAMN WHEEL!!

Does anyone ever do maintenance on shopping carts? There is some serious auditing to do!

A little more than irritating when you want to release some stress by doing some simple shopping. The LAST thing you want is to choose that miscellaneous shopping cart with the odd wheel that won't stop making noise. Better yet, in addition to the noise, why don't you add the fact that it doesn't turn properly. So, now, automatically, a relaxing moment has turned into a pet peeve nightmare!! You really just want to bail and throw that damn shopping cart of a freaking cliff!!

World's biggest cry baby!

There's nothing wrong with being a die hard sports fan but just don't act like this guy. Do not shed a tear if your team loses because that's just moronic. Your team isn't going anywhere they will be right back next year in the exact same stadium probably with the same players and they'll play at the exact same time. You didn't lose anything and nobody is dying. So suck it up and don't be like this guy because it's pathetic.

This year 2010 BET awards is scheduled to air on June 27, and I will be on the edge of my seat watching, but theirs one thing I can't stand...rappers who thank God during their acceptance speech. I don't know maybe its just me, but does anyone else think its weird when rap artists acknowedge God during award shows????? Are they thanking God for the rump shaking half naked women, or the shoot them up bang bang lyrics they promote in songs? Maybe their thanking god for all these creative efforts that contributes to the gold and platinum hit records. Either way it makes you want to question...

Express your opinion in the comment link below.

I'm all in

Wednesday, May 19, 2010

Seriously, why do people even gamble at a casino? Do you know how heavy the odds are against you?? It's like trying to fight a war in a foreign country which you know nothing about. It's foreign soil and you have no control over anything that is really going on. Even if you do win anything, the casinos are banking on you coming back to lose that all, plus more money. I've always been baffled as to why people work so hard for their money to just throw it all away in a matter of hours, even minutes! Or perhaps seconds! Go invest it in something that you actually have a chance in seeing more money in return. Don't start crying when you're wondering where all your money went.

How disgusting is it to do your "doody" (number 1 or 2) in an unclean bathroom. Public places are one issue, you almost excuse it. However, stepping into an untidy bathroom in a personal dwelling is pretty nasty.

1) How do you use the bathroom yourself when it reeks of urine and there is hair all over the sink?
2) You know you're having guests over, why didn't you clean it up just a tad?

AMAZING!

Does this bother anyone else?
This is a major booboo in my book. It makes me, and I sometimes do, want to gag. If I didn't have an uncontrollable urge bursting from my bladder for holding it so long to avoid such nastiness, I wouldn't use your unkempt facilities. But, unfortunately your lack of cleanliness just put a damper on my "doodies."
And if that's not bad enough, if I take a gander next to me towards the tub area, that dark gunk surrounding your bathtub and shower tiles is ever so appealing!!! NOT!
If you really can't afford cleaning supplies I can give you a tip: the dollar store is a hit for low-cost cleaning supplies. How hard could it really be to spray a little something here and there to avoid such nasty build-up? Mighty hard, apparently. I've had my share of dirty bathrooms to clean and I'd rather leave your abode, get in my car, drive home and use CLEAN facilities.
Please take my tip into consideration. Thanks.

Incorrect Drive Thru Orders

Friday, May 14, 2010

When was the last time you've been in a rush to get somewhere and wanted a bite to eat? Have you ever stopped at a quick fast food joint made an order from the drive thru, and when you opened the bag, after you just driven off, noticed that the order you asked for wasn't the one you received? Have you ever been angry, upset, or pissed off because you paid for something you didn't want, and it's not like you have time to drive back and change it or make another order. If you can't get the orders right then why work there? The worst is when you get something that you're allergic to. For example, today I was in a hurry for my 7:00pm class, and decided to drop by Burger King and purchase a chicken sandwich. I proceeded to pay at the window and opened the bag only to discover that instead of a chicken sandwich she gave me a cheese burger and I've been allergic to cheese since I was little.

bueno?

Am I living in a country that doesn't speak English? Maybe you think you're calling a different country that doesn't speak English? If that's the case I think you should hang up, check the number again, including country code, and try that call one more time. Otherwise, I wish you could understand that you are calling a business in the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. Our national language is......ENGLISH. Perhaps you were mistaken? Or maybe when you got here no one told you that? Who knows?!?!

This has happened numerous times at my place of work. When I answer in-coming calls, I'm almost 100% sure I'm speaking English while doing so. So it just BAFFLES the heck outta me when someone responds with something other than English. Maybe they Googled me and found false information stating that I was multi-lingual and that I would LOVE for them to call my place of work and ramble on in their language.

WRRRRONNNNNGGGG!!!

PLEASE figure out that we live in AMERICA, and at least learn a few words to ask for something in English when calling a professional business. Thank You. Gracias. Kam ouen. Shukria. Obrigado. Grazie. Mahalo.

Perfumes

Tuesday, May 11, 2010

Have you ever have a headache that does not go away even if you take a bottle of Tylenol? Well I have...and do you want to know what causes me such headaches? It's CHEAP PERFUME. I'm sorry but there are some cheap perfumes out there that I can't stand. It gives me headaches that can last up to three days. Therefore, I hate when people shower themselves with perfume and worst of all, cheap perfume... I mean, you can tell when it's cheap and when it's not. I'm okay if people don't have the money to buy a better perfume but I'm not okay with people spraying too much perfume because in close places like church, or at a class in school, it is just unbearable to be seated next to a person who smells like sh... Come on people please think of those who are sitting next to you!!!

Do you have any annoying co-workers? We'd love to hear your stories! Please comment on your experiences with annoying co-workers.

Just one more drink....

Sunday, May 9, 2010

You're at a great party, the DJ is playing, everyone is dancing, the room is full of friends and people. You have been drinking all night, beer... shots... mixed drinks... you're feeling pretty good, having an amazing time. You finish the drink you just made and your favorite song comes on so you dance, dance, dance and you get so into it you just keep dancing. Finally, it's time to go get another cup of beer out of the keg.... you're walking over, you are so thirsty from all the dancing and can taste the beer in your mouth. You walk up to the keg to see two people in front of you.. both men. They each fill up their cup, but as the second guy is filling you see less and less is coming out... he keeps going and cleans the keg out dry. You are so upset by what just happened.. he turns and says, "Guess there's no more.. you should have refilled sooner..." you had no words to say back. You look and look for something more to drink, not because you want alcohol, just simply because you are thirsty.. all the bottles of alcohol and sodas are cleaned out. You just didn't know what to do.. you drink some water from the tap and go about your night. But don't you just hate it when someone is rude about drinking the last bit of alcohol or drinks at a party.

Pet Peeve: Rude people who finish the last bit of alcohol and say sarcastic things about it!

Sshhhhhh

Saturday, May 8, 2010

Have you ever had a friend, relative, or anybody else ask you for a ride? Yea, I have too. That's not the problem though. The problem occurs when you're giving them a ride and after just about every turn and street that you pass you hear them say, "oh, you should have gone this way instead," or, "there's a short cut over here," or, " why are you taking this road? The other one is quicker." If you're getting a ride and I'm taking you to your desired destination, just stfu and enjoy the ride. You're going to arrive where it is that you want, but you don't have to correct me on every single turn and every new street which we pass by. I promise I'm not trying to delay the ride. I'm not a taxi cab. I don't charge you by the second or the mile I have no reason to keep you hostage in my car! So pleaseeee don't try and be a GPS because if I really wanted one I would have bought one.

Talking With Your Mouth Full...Nasty!!!!

Friday, May 7, 2010

Picture this, you're sitting at the dinner table of a fine gourmet restaurant about to stuff your face with delicious delectables. Your huge appetite craves for the satisfaction of digesting a nice, juicy, smoke house steak with a buttery spread of mash potatoes and a tall glass of wine. The waiter being unconscious to speed, prolongs time as she hands you the plate, and all of a sudden it happens...the person you're sitting across from speaks with his/her mouth filled with food and you end up seeing chicken bites rolling around causing you to lose your appetite. Have you ever thought...OMG!! How disgusting, go back to the pasture and act like a cow, if you're going to chew like one??? I would have to say that this is by far my number one pet peeve.

Have you ever had the same experience???

Last One...

Thursday, May 6, 2010

I HATE it when someone takes the last paper, pen, last anything and does not refill the supply. I absolutely can not handle this.. It's not a hard concept, you use the last one, fill the supply back up, print more, or even just let someone know. Perfect example, I was at work as a cashier and I was ringing up a customer and noticed that my receipt paper was starting to run low, I had no worries because we have a supply in the drawer. I continued to ring and it got lower and lower and the line continued to grow. I finally had a second in between customers to refill... I opened the drawer to come across NO RECEIPT PAPER.So now I am about to be completely out and have a long line. Couldn't the person who took the last one re-fill the supply... This is by far one of my BIGGEST PET PEEVES.

Pet Peeve: Using the last one and not refilling the supply

You know what I mean?

Wednesday, May 5, 2010

Having a simple conversation doesn't need to be hard, but it seems nowadays that it has become exactly that. I know I'm not the only one who has had a conversation with a person who seems to end every one of their sentences with, "you know what i mean," or, "you know what I'm saying?." No, I don't know what you mean and I don't know what you're saying. Why don't you just take the time and explain it to me. That phrase seems to have become the new word at the end of the sentence to use instead of something like "ma'am" or "sir." Even "dude" or "bro" are acceptable but don't ask me if I know what you mean after every other sentence because I really don't know what you mean. And one more thing, when you start using those phrases time and time again I can't concentrate on our conversation any longer because I'm too busy counting the number of times that you use that phrase. So now I really don't know what you mean.

CENSUS 2010

Tuesday, May 4, 2010

I don't know about you guys but I am getting so annoyed about the whole Census thing. I mean I know is important and everything but I don't understand why they keep sending forms to my house if I already filled out those forms last year. I mean it is a waste of paper and money... and who is paying for all that... well of course is us taxpayers. I am getting irritated and I don't feel like filling out those forms. I already have too much work from school. I know it sounds like I am a bad citizen but believe it's not that ... my point is I already did my part last year.

Pet Peeve 28: Annoyed by the Census

Not gettng the hint

Monday, May 3, 2010

Have you ever tried to avoid someone and they still don't get the hint? The worst is when a guy will text you to call him and you don't respond. So then they call and leave a voicemail saying "Hey, I'm not sure if you got my text so I thought would call you, call me back." And then when you don't call back they text you again with a "hey, how are you?" Like the first two stalk attempts never occurred. And when all else fails you get a friend request on facebook. Then when you ignore that request, you get one more text with "hey, hope you got my friend request and this text." As if technology might have failed them....uhh, no dumbass, I don't want to talk to you!!!!!

It's all about the money !!!

Sunday, May 2, 2010

Well I know everyone wants and needs money but should you get to a point to lie to get money? Well, I don't know about you but I get really irritated when someone lies just to get some money. I am talking about this because on the weekend I went to buy a watch and the person who was helping me did not tell me the watch was damaged even though it had a damaged tag. I didn't notice it because I was in a hurry and I knew exactly what watch I wanted, therefore I didn't spend much time inspecting the watch.... Well the day after when I was about to wear it I noticed it was damaged. I had to go back all the way to the city to return it; I am going to spend gas and time returning the dammed watch.... couldn't she just be honest and not sell me that. Come on I don't think its fair at all to play with people's time and money just for a commission. Still I am going to return the watch and you will not get anything BITCH.

Counting Sheep In The Theater

Friday, April 30, 2010

Have you ever gone to the movies with someone who sleeps during the film, and afterwards expect you to regurgitate everthing they missed...Why buy a ticket and waist your money? Just wait until it comes out on DVD or demand. The slightly lit autitorium and comfortable seating can tempt even the strongest to being subdued into a sleepless dream state, but why ruin the movie experience for others and subject them to lisiten to your constant loud snoring. While were on the subject...let me take a moment to mention those who talk during the movie. How many people watched a film with motor mouth seating behind you. Have you ever just wanted to stable there mouth shut instead you don't say anything in the hopes of seeing someone else doing it first. Leave the scripting to the actors. Don't create your own storyline. :)

Write down some of your movie pet peeves in the comment link below.

Leave a brief message after the tone!

The other day I heard my dad make a phone call in another room. I could hear his muffled voice through the wall as he said what he had to say to the person, and after about 4 or 5 minutes he went silent. About 30 seconds later I heard him say something that completely blew my mind... "It's me again, I guess your voicemail cut me off." He was on the phone with this poor person's voicemail the entire time!!! Seriously Dad? In this technological age where entire hard drives can be stored on a microscopic chip and voicemails no longer require cassette tapes with a 30 second time limit, you should NEVER for any reason leave a message so long that you run out of time. A simple "Hey, it's ___. I'm calling regarding ___. Give me a call back when you get this." will do!! After listening to these messages I want to throw my phone out of a window because I am so annoyed. So please leave a BRIEF message in the comment box below if you share my frustration on this issue... "beep."

The purpose of making the trip to the grocery store is to restock on items which you are low or have no more of. But when the person bagging the groceries can't get it right than we have a HUGE problem. First we have those grocery baggers who use a bag for every single individual item that you have. I don't need to take twenty grocery bags home with me i'm sure that we can fit my things in a lot less bags then that. Let's take it easy on the environment as well. Then we have the problem which is the opposite of this when they fill my bags with way too many items and you guessed it. They rip on me when im trying to carry them and im left picking up my items which are rolling all over the place. I don't feel like recovering a fumble like in football with my own food. No thank you. And last but not least, the grocery baggers who put my shampoo or soap together with the food. It must be an honest mistake i suppose, either that or someone is trying to potentially poison me.

Have you ever walked through a crowded area, such as a mall, and the person/group in front of you makes an immediate stop? Are you in your own world where no one else exists? What a great world it must be!! Malls are crowded enough as is and we definitely don't need an idiot, or two, stopping the flow of traffic. Here's an idea...why don't we take that little piece of membrane embedded inside your skull, veer right along the side of the wall and call that your destination.

Oh, what a wonderful world it would be!

Pet Peeve #21: Stopping in the middle of flowing traffic

Do you see me talking?

Monday, April 26, 2010

I can 't recall how many times I've been interrupted while I was clearly using the phone. At times I thought it was only a work issue. In actuality, it's an anytime of day, anywhere, issue. The best times are when I'm at work, sarcastically speaking. As if I'm not bombarded with enough calls, from God knows who, it's my surrounding "admirers" that just can't get enough of me. Their pent up questions can't wait, literally, to be released into my obviously available ONE ear. At this point, I have a few options, and all but one is what I normally choose to do. I stare at my "admirer" and point to the large object attached to my ear which we call a phone, and mouth "on- the-phone." Some people mouth "sorry" and patiently wait, some will leave a note and walk away and some obnoxious people choose to rant to me anyways! Hi, my name is "I'm not on the phone, it's just for show, please interrupt and chat with me."

Pet Peeve #20: trying to talk to me when I'm on the phone

Seriously...?

Sunday, April 25, 2010

Everyone that plays or has played sports know that there is always going to be a trash talker among the group. The one who brags when he or she does anything right even if its the smallest of things like making a little pass here and there or even if the ball bounces off their face and it goes the right way they will take all the credit in the world. "I meant to do that". or "It's all part of the show". And for everyone else's sake you better hope that the trash talker is losing because you will never hear the end of it. Left and right they will ALWAYS find something to say to put down the other team. I guess if your on the trash talker's team your safe unless you try and yell at them for doing something wrong. But don't worry, defeat the trash talker and enjoy the sweet sound of silence after the game is done and everyone is walking off the field or court. Unless your wearing earplugs while playing, the only way to shut them up is by defeating them. Better get ready.

Pet Peeve # 19: Trash Talkers

Copy Cat

Saturday, April 24, 2010

While on my way to a friend's birthday party, I discovered my latest pet peeve...copy cat's. How many people have dealt with the traditional copy cat? These are people who imitate/mimic/mock others ideas and creativity. This is what my friend did when I bumped into her last week. Previously we ended up meeting at a charity fashion show event in San Francisco, California. I was wearing a short pink dress that I got on sale from Nordstorm's. She began making comments saying how beautiful it was, and asking me how much it costs. I told her where I got the dress from not thinking that she might one day go and actually buy the same exact dress, but to my surprise a week later I seen her with the same dress. I mean she could have at least bought it in a different color. You can bet that I won't do that again... Can anyone relate to what I went through? Have you ever had a copy cat?

Pet Peeve #18 - She's wearing my damn dress!!!

Who has been a cashier or in a customer service job. Well if you have been or currently are, I'm sure you will be able to relate to this.

Imagine this, you are a cashier and a very interactive cashier who likes to have conversations with your customers. One customer who is purchasing a tent which they have many questions about. You are answering their questions and also asking more to discover more about their purchase. In the middle of your conversation their phone rings and they answer it right away cutting you off. From this moment on they talk on the phone, paying no attention to you and waving for you to just continue and finish the transaction. How rude is that... Don't you hate it when 1. you are having a conversation and the customer answers their phone 2. the customer walks up on their phone and 3. a customer ask a question and you go to answer but their phone rings and they walk away. How rude can people be!!!

I’m sure you’ve met a friend or a certain person claim they can drink a crazy amount of alcohol and you just don’t believe them. Actually, some are quite impressive their digestive system seems to not be human and their somewhat amazing I might say. But when they start getting ridiculous and claim to drink 20 pints a night now that irks me! I have met some people give out a crazy number before but over on fark.com their saying that one in ten British drinkers can consume 20 pints a night. One in ten!? Maybe more like ten total in all of England would be a little more believable. Their making it seem like the neighbor, the mailman, the elementary school teacher, the doctor, the grandmother, and the little girl next door all are more than capable of drinking 20 pints a night. There’s no need to over exaggerate on the amount of alcohol that you can consume. You don’t get medals, trophies, or special awards for being able to do this nonhuman trait. I know their British but still….. Let me know if you agree with me or if im just plain wrong.

I want to die!!!

Have you had a haircut you didn't like? Well if you answered no to this question please send me your hair styler number but if you answered yes then you understand how frustrating it is when you get a bad haircut. At least for girls hair is very important so when you get a bad haircut you feel so frustrated you want to die thinking it will never grow back again. But what really upsets me is when you go to a hair salon for the first time, the hair styler charges you $60 and when you tell her you want certain style she starts asking you a bunch of questions trying to change your mind. And you find yourself thinking come on b... I'm paying you $60 for this haircut why don't you just do it the way I want.... o.k. finally you agree to do it the way she is telling you to do it and is the worst hair cut you have ever had. Well that has happened to me twice and I just wanted to scream and tell her to go back to cosmetology school and tell her that I am not going to pay for it....Well I end up paying and not screaming but I go home and cry for the rest of the day :(

Pet Peeve # 17 : Bad haircut

So if you had this experience please share or if you have good tips on how to avoid a bad haircut please do so I think is something all women can learn from it!!!

Slower traffic, KEEP RIGHT

Monday, April 19, 2010

We have several lanes on the freeway for a purpose right? Well, I'm wondering who in their right mind would get into their far left lane otherwise known as the  "fast lane" only to drive below the speed limit. Hello Mcfly!? There are 3 lanes to your right in perfect position to serve your less than average driving speed habits. We would all LOVE for you to switch that lane and be on your slow and steady way.  Also, do you ever look in your rear-view mirror and see that you are holding up 5+ cars because you can't push the pedal to the metal? Let's make life a little bit less stressful for all of us and MOVE, bitch!

It's called an appetizer for a reason...

Sunday, April 18, 2010

Don't you hate it when your out to eat at a restaurant and you feel your whole dining experience is being rushed. Well, this happens all the time to me when I go out for dinner. I am the type of person who likes to order a starter salad or appetizer to start my meal. They are starters for a reason and it drives me crazy when they appear on my table minutes before the meal. When they arrive minutes before the meal, I am forced to eat my salad or appetizer quickly to prevent my food from getting cold. When this happens in restaurants, it off sets my meal and the whole experience is not as enjoyable.

Does anyone else ever feel this way?

Pet Peeve #13: Being rushed through your dining experience

Move people, move

Do you know what Fast-Track means? Well I believe it is obvious, but some people still don't get it. Fast-track lanes are supposed to be of course FAST but people still don't know that or are afraid of these lanes. Well I don't really know whats wrong with people who almost stop at the Fast-track lane as if they were paying. Don't they realize they can cause an accident? This lane is supposed to be 25 mph and these people also create traffic specially at 7:30 am when everyone is trying to get to work...So please people if you use the fast-track lanes make sure you know you don't have to stop at the toll "to pay".

Why Did You Ask Me That?

Friday, April 16, 2010

Has anyone fallen victim to the dumb question disease? This abnormal illness is highly contagious but occurs only among the mentally challenged. We've all seen it. We've all experienced it in one way or another. It's the questions that are so blatantly obvious that you wonder if the person your interacting with is intellectually dwafed. Maybe you've been the perpetrator of the disease and said something so amazingly retarded that you did not realize it until after the comment was made. Wishing that if only I had a time machine to go back in time I would tell myself not to say that. I will personally admit that I have had my share of brain farts in the past, but in this one particular situation it wasn't my fault and when it happend it really disturbed me. Last week I ended up driving 33miles/hr in a 25mph residential zone. Speeding in the hopes of arriving to class on time to take my chemistry final. Unfortunately, I didn't make it to class on time because I got pulled over by robocop. Now I do realize that it was my fault for speeding...you break the law, you pay the consequences, but why waist my time in asking me questions you already know the answers to. When he walked up to my car he asked me "ma'am did you know you were speeding". At that moment I'm thinking to myself of course I know...I'm obviously in a rush to get somewhere.
Has anyone else had a similar experience???

Mind Your Own Business!!!!!!

Thursday, April 15, 2010

While driving to work thinking about what my pet peeve for today was going to be... the perfect thing happened and it came to me!!! I just merged onto the freeway on my way to work and everything was looking perfect. I had 15 minutes till I needed to be at work, traffic was flowing perfect, it even looked like I would have time to stop at Starbucks and then suddenly.... everything came to a sudden stop for no reason at all. Now traveling in stop and go traffic at 2 miles an hour my idea of getting tea before my long day at work flew out the window. There was no reason this should be going on. Traveling at this speed for about a half of a mile frustrated I discovered the answer... A stalled vehicle with a flat tire pulled to the side accompanied by a tow truck and a CHP car. Really I just sat in traffic for 10 minutes, am now going to be a few minutes late to work for a car with a flat tire!!!!!!!!!! Don't you hate it when people can't mind there own business and mess up your day.

I Don't Care!

Wednesday, April 14, 2010

So last week I walk into a Starbucks to get a drink and sit down to relax a bit while drinking it. When all of a sudden, this guy that's next to me starts typing really loud and is also reading out loud everything that he is typing in. You can't be serious is exactly what I'm thinking. It seemed that he was writing his own blog well now I'm putting him in one. NOBODY went to Starbucks to listen to some random guy ramble about his blog or to know the thoughts that are running through his head. I felt like doing several things to the guy. Such as, grabbing his laptop and slamming it to the ground but instead all I could legally do was get up and walk away from where I was sitting. I'm sure many other people have experienced something similar to what I did last week. So now is your chance to let us know!!!!!

mmm smells good!!!!

Tuesday, April 13, 2010

Imagine this, you are sitting in a class trying to pay attention to the professor as he lectures. It is 6:30 pm and you are tired and hungry. You then start to smell something delicious. You turn around and you see that the person sitting behind you is enjoying some delicious pasta. Then , you go crazy thinking you want to ask the person to share the pasta with you or you start thinking you want to ask her to put her food away because the smell bothers you. Well, of course you get distracted and you start daydreaming about food. My point is that people should not bring smelly food to class because it can make you hungry or nauseous ;)

That's not fair!

After a delicious meal, and a great waiter serving you at your favorite restaurant, you start asking yourself how much should I tip my waiter? And of course because it was all perfect you decide to leave a good tip but what happens when it is a party of 6 or more?
Well, this is my story: My family and I decided to have dinner out to celebrate my father's birthday. We decided to try a new restaurant. We made reservations, for 9 people, a week in advance so we would not have to wait. When the day arrived, we decided to meet at the restaurant 15 minutes early. The time finally came and we were all there ready to get our table and our nightmare began!!! We had to wait about 50 minutes to get our table! What drove me crazy during the night was our waiter, who was the most disorganized waiter I have ever encountered. He got our order wrong, took hours to serve us water and bread, and on top of that he was rude. Therefore, I thought to myself he did not deserve a good tip.Well that was not in my hands this time because when the check arrived it had an 18% gratuity that turned out to be close to $80 and all I could say was: That is not fair!!!!

You Don't Scare Me

Thugs.....so nineteen nineties, back when the hottest music was coming from Eminem, N'sync, and Britney Spears. You remember those days right? In those days you could wear a jacket three times your size and sag your pants because people would consider you a dangerous person. This is the year 2010, go to the store and buy some clothes that are actually your size. No more borrowing your older brother's clothes because they make you look "gangster." Maybe it's passable if you're 14 or 15 and trying to look intimidating at school. Ok maybe. But when you're in college or out in the working world, and you're still doing it, something is wrong with you. But wait, it gets worse. These "thugs" will be sagging their pants really low and so a person might think to themselves, "man this guy really needs a belt." But then you eventually see that they already have a belt on and its not keeping their pants up. I thought that's what they were for!? Point being, this is the year 2010 and its no longer cool to be having your pants down that low and wearing jackets that are definitely not your size.

Teachers Who Do Things At The Last Minute

Friday, April 9, 2010

Picture this, it's the beginning of a new school year and you just declared that this year would be the year that you will recieve A+'s in all of your classes. Time takes its course, it's now time for midterms. You stay up late studying hard for hours, constantly reviewing class notes and studying the book. You take the midterm and the results are in. You end up scoring high marks in all of your classes except for one, business calculus. The following day the professor for calculus announces, "due to everyone's poor grades, an extra credit assignment will be posted this weekend and due that following Monday." You think to yourself, great this is the perfect time for me to not only improve my grade, but to achieve my goal of possibly getting A's in all of my classes, thus increasing my GPA. It's Friday night and the most horrifying thing happens. Your computer will not start for some strange reason, so you decide to go to Kinko's tomorrow morning to printout the assignment from the internet. On Saturday, you arrive to Kinko's only to discover the assignment has not been posted. You check again that afternoon and it's still not posted. It's Sunday, Mothers Day, your day is packed with plans to spend the entire day with family and friends, but you still manage to squeeze in time in the morning to drive to Kinko's. You check and the extra credit assignment is still not posted. It's Monday, you arrive to class feeling extremely upset especially when you find out from fellow classmates that the professor didn't post it until the night before it was due, and all of your efforts leads up to you not turning in the assignment. Has anyone else fallen into the same situation!!!

Always on Time!

Thursday, April 8, 2010

Today is the big day, that day you have been waiting for for months and months. You got the perfect shoes to match the perfect dress. The night is planned out perfectly, a nice dinner to celebrate your one year anniversary with the perfect man and then off to a special surprise planned your boyfriend. You spend all day getting your nails, makeup and hair done for the special night. You have reservations at your favorite restaurant at 830pm and he is picking you up at 700pm to ensure you arrive with time to spare. Your slip your last high heel on at 645pm, touch up your lip gloss and now your ready for the special night. You are anxiously awaiting the knock on the door, 5 mins goes by... then another 10, 15, mins pass. You glance at the clock and realize its 715 and still no sign of your date. You wait and wait and finally decide to pick up the phone and call him. It rings and rings and he finally picks up, you nervously asked "baby, where are you? We were suppose to leave 15 mins ago," He replies "Ill be there in 10 mins." You think to yourself he better have an amazing reason for being late. Your whole world comes crashing down... you just cant believe he could be late on your year anniversary, a very special day.. how could he take it so carelessly. He arrives 25 mins later with two dozens of pink and red roses in his suite and tie to make up for his mistake, but still how could he be late !!! Dont you just hate it when people are late!!!

Pet Peeve #2: Late people!!!

Do you hear that crying?

Wednesday, April 7, 2010

Imagine this...you're ending one of those stressful week's at work. It's Friday afternoon and you've got dinner plans at your favorite restaurant. You think to yourself, this is just what I need after my douchebag boss gave me more work than humanely possible. The work day has finally come to an end and you make your way to the restaurant to meet your friends. When you walk in, you immediately approach the bar to order your favorite wind-down drink. You get seated, order your meal and finally relax. The meal that you have been anticipating all day has finally arrived. You pick up your fork to take that first bite and are alarmed to hear the excruciating cry of a nearby toddler. You expect the parents to attempt to calm the crying toddler, yet your expectations are crushed!! What seems like eternity passes by, the toddler is still crying, and the parents seem to be happily enjoying their meal.
Did I miss something? Does this bother anyone else?
Don't you just hate that.
